Colorado Chautquaqua

Since its inception in 1898, the Colorado Chautauqua has evolved from seasonal tents to platforms to cottages and now to year-round lodging and programming, but its fundamental values remain constant: lifelong learning, love of nature, voluntary simplicity, and music, oration, education and the arts in an inspiring setting. Today, the Colorado Chautauqua is one of three remaining Chautauquas in the United States, and the only site west of the Mississippi River, in continuous operation, with its original structures intact. It is also home to the Colorado Music Festival.
